[OPIC Script] Movie

 

 

오늘도 고밀도 어학 학습교육을 하면서 OPIC topic 중 "Movie"에 대해서 개인적으로 작성한 script 공유드립니다. 대부분 오픽에서 주제를 선택할 때 영화보기를 많이 선택하실 텐데요. 많은 주제를 가지고 수업시간에 연습을 했었던 거 같습니다. 선생님 첨삭이 반영된 사항이고 강조하시고 중요하다고 생각하는 부분은 굵은 글씨로 표시했습니다.

많이 나오는 오픽 기출문제에 대해서 작성한 사항으로 영화 주제는 하기 문제만 준비하시면 거의 대부분을 커버하실것으로 생각합니다.

1) What kind of movies do you enjoy watching? Why do you like to watch those kinds of movies? Tell me about these movies in as much detail as possible

My favorite character is “면가” who was in the movie called “황해”. He played the role of a gangster and a killer who makes money by killing innocent people. In the movie, he looked really scary and charismatic. It was very impressive when he was calm in a very violent and intense situation. I thought he was amazing even looked really cool in his role. That’s why My favorite character is “면가”.

2) the most memorable movie you have seen. What was the movie about? Who was in it? Why was it memorable?

My favorite movie is gok-sung which is directed by Na-hong Jin, starring Hwang-Jung Min. This movie is about occultism like the exorcist. The film takes place in a small village in a rural area. The story is about a father who saves his daughter who was suffering from a ghost. I remember being very shocked because I didn’t know how it is going to end. Since this movie was very engaging, I couldn’t do anything else. It kept me focused. That’s why I like this movie. 

3) Has your taste in movies changed over time? Tell me about the changes in your tastes in movies over the past few years. How are the movie you enjoy now different from those in the past? Please explain in as much detail as possible.

I used to watch adventure and action movies. because, I could get satisfaction from watching movies, such as finding treasure, overseas trips, driving nice cars, and so on. But, nowadays, I’m not interested in adventure and action movies. Because they are very cliché every time. So, I recently enjoyed watching thrillers and twist movies. The stories are not conventional but unpredictable. I concentrate on watching a movie because I don't know how it will end. That’s why I change my taste in movies. 

4) Tell me about movie theater you often go to. Where is it? What does It look like?

The theater I visit the most often is MEGA BOX located in downtown ILSAN. It is in the main shopping mall area so it is usually crowded all throughout the year. My favorite one is in a big department store on the 3rd floor so I can use all the facilities like parking lots and outdoor cafes in the building. Movie theaters in Korea are mostly multiplex ones and the one that I go to, MEGA BOX, is also a multiplex cinema. There are a lot of kiosks in the main lobby so you don’t have to go to a ticket box to buy a ticket. If you make a reservation online In advance, you can get your ticket right away from the machine. Inside the theater, they have large screens and an excellent sound system. That is why l love this place so much. We can count on a wonderful time there. 

5) What is your routine when you go to the theater? What do you do before watching movies? What about after? Please describe your routine in detail. 

Before watching a movie, I first make a reservation on the internet. A couple of years ago, I became a VIP member of my telecom company. So, telecom gives me a free ticket every month. So, I use that to make a reservation. After that, I go to kiosks in the theater, I get a ticket. And I buy popcorn and coke at the store. My favorite kind of popcorn is onion popcorn. It is very delicious. After watching the movie, I go shopping with my wife. Because the theater is located in a department store. There are a lot of clothes and shoes. I like to buy something. And I sometimes go to the café to have a drink while talking about the movie with my wife. 

6) last went to a movie theater? Who? What? Story?

I went to Megabox which is located in ILSAN last month. It takes about 20 minutes there by car. I went there with my wife. We saw a Korean action movie called “다만 악에서 구하소서”. The main story is about a father struggling to find his daughter who was taken away by a bad guy. The film was taken in many countries like Korea, Japan, and Vietnam. It was interesting. It is quite intense and highly charged. The movie was over later that day, so we couldn’t eat something and go straight home. I think well-made feature films among the latest movies.  

7) Can you compare the movies made today to movies you saw while you were growing up? How have movies changed over the years? What are the differences and similarities?

Covid-19 has a huge impact on the movie industry. The government-mandated all big facilities like a movie theater to close for a while. They have been close. Film releases have been canceled or delayed. On the other hand, streaming has become more popular. But the firm business lost a lot of money. I really look forward to finding a solution as soon as possible. 

8) Tell me about one of the actors who was in the news because of some issue recently. What was the issue about? How did the news affect your impression of that actor?

My favorite actor is 황정민, currently, he had a problem with his health. Because he had the serious flu. He stayed in the hospital for 2 months. His agency announced that he needed some time to take a rest. I wouldn’t able to see him in a movie for a while. I hope to see him soon.
